Gabriel Bermeo

Guitar Teacher

Gabriel Bermeo, originally from Pereira, Colombia, has over 10 years of experience in the music industry. His journey began at an early age, influenced by a musical family, a school with a strong tradition in music, and a church where he enjoyed live performances every week. At the age of 12, Gabriel started learning guitar and singing in his church. Over time, his passion for music grew so much that he decided to pursue professional music studies.
During his training, he focused on classical guitar while also nurturing a deep interest in electric guitar. This led him to take lessons with maestro Jaime Jaramillo, who introduced him to genres such as blues, jazz, fusion rock, funk, and soul. Through classical guitar, Gabriel also developed an appreciation for traditional Colombian and Latin American music.
During university, Gabriel had a transformative experience studying abroad in Fortaleza, Brazil, for almost a year. There, he immersed himself in Brazilian traditional music and had his first experience living outside Colombia. Upon his return, he graduated and, in 2019, released an acoustic EP titled “Regresa a Casa” featuring six songs he composed during his time at university.
Beyond his studies, Gabriel was always active in various musical projects, performing with bands across a range of genres, including rock, salsa, jazz, and reggaeton. Throughout his career, he has released three singles showcasing his unique musical style, a blend of rock, pop, and soul, accompanied by music videos available on streaming platforms.
Today, Gabriel lives in Melbourne, Australia, where he has been residing for the past two years. He is in his second year of studying Music Production at Collarts, dedicating himself to recording his music and continuing to do what he loves most: creating and sharing his art.
