Jhonfil Aquino Roxas

Piano & Organ Teacher

Born in Manila, Philippines, Mr. Jhonfil Aquino Roxas is an accomplished pianist, organist, accompanist, and choir director with extensive experience in performance and music education.

Mr. Roxas holds a Bachelor of Music (Performance) from the Australian Catholic University, awarded in 2010 with distinction average in piano performance and minors in choral directing and piano pedagogy. His principal teachers included some of Melbourne’s most esteemed music professors: Dr. Anthony Halliday (Piano), Associate Professor Dr. Geoffrey Cox (Organ), and Dr. Ian Burke (Choral Directing).

In the same year, he also achieved the Associate in Music, Australia (AMusA) in Piano Performance, a prestigious certification through the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB). Further complementing his musical qualifications, Mr. Roxas completed a Graduate Diploma in Education at the Australian Catholic University in 2015, equipping him with a strong foundation in teaching and educational practices.

Mr. Roxas has been dedicated to piano teaching since 2008, sharing his passion for music with students of all ages and levels. He has also served as an accompanist and choir director at various Catholic churches across Melbourne, and currently continues to offer his talents as an accompanist for funerals and weddings.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Mr. Roxas enjoys travelling, cooking, playing tennis, and cherishing quality time with family and friends.
