Drum Teacher

Can Koseali is a Turkey-born session drummer and drum teacher with over three years of teaching experience. Working across pop, funk, and alternative music, his playing is rooted in groove, dynamics, touch, and a strong sense of pocket. His “floating swing” approach and laid-back feel are influenced by drummers such as Jeff Porcaro, Steve Jordan and Vinnie Colaiuta, while continuing to develop into his own musical language.

His teaching approach focuses on developing solid technique from the very beginning and making it a natural part of each student’s playing. Drawing from his experience as a session drummer, Can also introduces students to the practical and creative aspects of recording, including studio preparation, listening, communication, and the mindset required to perform at their best in a recording environment.
