Melinda is an experienced and dedicated music educator with over 30 years of teaching experience. She completed her undergraduate studies, majoring in music performance, at Monash University and later earned a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Melbourne.
Throughout her teaching career, Melinda has successfully prepared students for AMEB practical and theory examinations, achieving an excellent record of student success. She has taught students of all ages and abilities, tailoring lessons to individual learning styles and goals across both classical and leisure music genres.

Melinda believes that learning a musical instrument should be an enjoyable, inspiring, and rewarding experience — not solely focused on examination results. While she places strong emphasis on establishing a good musical foundation and developing sound technical skills, she is equally passionate about nurturing confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music in every student.

In addition to her extensive music teaching experience, Melinda is a fully qualified and accredited school teacher, registered with the Victoria Institute of Teaching (VIT). She has taught Chinese as well as a range of other school subjects, bringing broad educational expertise and a patient, encouraging approach to every lesson.
